The Film Over Gun Violence Program
About CFEG & The Program FOGV
The Center for Educational Growth (CFEG) is a Virgin Islands non-profit school delivering flexible, hands-on, virtual and in-person learning experiences. Our annual Film Over Gun Violence program founded in 2023, blends art, humanities, and local civic history with a complete indie-filmmaking bootcamp—from research to script to screen to combat the social issue of gun violence. In small cohorts, teens and young adults (13–28) learn directing, camera, lighting, sound, editing, acting, and public communication, producing original short films that premiere at red-carpet community screenings across the islands.
